 MOONLIGHTVSN is proud to announce the first production in our own educational programming - drumroll please - A WEEKEND OF THEATRE ARTS, JULY 27-29. A Weekend of Theatre Arts (AWTA) is a unique 3-day theatre intensive designed for students in 6th-12th grade to experience the collaborative process of putting on an original production. Students will have the opportunity to take on 1 of 4 tracks- acting, singing, dancing, or technical theatre. The 3-day intensive will provide participants the chance to dive in to the creative process with 2 full day rehearsals and a public performance on the last day. Students will be directed and mentored by MOONLIGHTVSN Directors and talented Teaching Artists that specialize in performance and theatre arts. AWTA students will be challenged to think on their toes, create outside of the box, and be responsible artists. A Weekend of Theatre Arts will be $75/per student and will be hosted by Barrio Action in El Sereno. Auditions for performance tracks will be held on Saturday, July 22 at Barrio Action.
